In order to perform this action, you need to proceed as follows:

Just right click anywhere on your desktop. A cascading menu will appear which is shown below:

From the menu displayed above, click on Personalize. The following window will appear:

From the window shown above, click on the Themes tab. The themes screen is given below:

Now click on Desktop icon settings under Related Settings shown on the right-hand side.

A new Desktop icon settings window will appear which is shown below:

From the window shown above, click on Restore Default.

Then click on OK and all your missing desktop icons will be restored.
