However, connecting those gaps largely depends on you making sure the program and apps are updated correctly. Windows Update is a bit more proactive than it was before if you are using Windows 10. You don’t have the common solution of which updates to download and install. In this article, we will guide you through the whole procedure to upgrade your Windows 10 PC.

Upgrade your Windows 10 PC

To upgrade your Windows 10 PC, follow this procedure step by step.

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Windows Update Settings in the search box and then choose the Windows Update settings option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Windows Update Settings, the following screen will appear.

Click the Check for updates button as highlighted in the above image. If there are some updates which are not downloaded or installed yet, it will start updating. Then you can check the history of the update by clicking the View update history as the following image is showing.

As you click the View update history option, the following screen will appear.

If you want to uninstall one or more specific updates, click the Uninstall updates option as highlighted in the above image. This will take you to the following screen.

Click on any update which you want to uninstall. Then click the Uninstall button as highlighted in the above image. Go back to the Windows Update screen and click the Advanced options as the following image is showing.

As you click the Advanced options link, the following screen will appear.

You can choose the update options and when they should be installed as per your choice.
