The word synchronization means the activity of two or more things at the same time. In the world of computing, it has a slightly different meaning. If you are habitual of using multiple technology devices but the same user account, then you always wish to align all your preferences in all of these devices. You do not want to set up everything from scratch whenever you log in from a new device. To address this issue, Windows 10 provides you with the feature of synchronization, which lets your different devices to stay on the same page. Synchronizing Your Settings in Windows 10
In order to synchronize your settings in Windows 10, you will need to perform the following steps:
Type settings in the search section of your taskbar and click on the search result to launch a new settings window. The newly opened Settings window is shown in the following image:
Click on the Accounts tab as highlighted in the image shown above.
At this point, you will see the option of “Sign in with a Microsoft account”. Just click on this option and give your account information.
Just in case, you do not see this option, it means that you are already signed in from a Microsoft account as highlighted in the image shown below:
Now click on Sync your settings tab located at the bottom of the left pane of the Accounts Settings window.
Locate the Sync Settings toggle button as highlighted in the following image:
This toggle button is currently set to the “off” state. Turn this toggle button to the “on” state as shown in the image below to synchronize your settings in Windows 10:
