Windows 10 has the feature by default to hide the files in the system. This feature helps the system not to be damaged by deleting important files. But still, Windows 10 has the option to enable the feature by which you can view the hidden files and folders. Show hidden files and folders in Windows 10
In order to show the hidden files and folders in Windows 10, follow this procedure step by step:
Click the Search button and type File Explorer in the search bar. Select the File Explorer option as the following image is showing:
As you will select the File Explorer. The following screen will appear:
Once you are in File Explorer. Select the File menu as the above image is highlighting. As soon as you will select the File menu further options will appear as a submenu. Select the Change folder and search options submenu like this:
As you will select this option, the Folder Options dialogue box will appear. Select the View tab from this dialogue box as highlighted below:
Once you will select the View tab, you will be having further options. Select the radio button named Show hidden, files, folders and drivers. Uncheck the checkbox named Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) as highlighted below:
When you will uncheck the box named Hide protected operating system files (Recommended) a warning will appear as follows:
Select the Yes option as highlighted in the above image. Once you have clicked the Yes option you will get back to the Folder Options dialogue box, click OK button to make above changes.
Now you will be able to view all hidden files, folders and drivers in the system.
By following this procedure you will be able to view all the hidden files and folder in Windows 10. You can undo the settings anytime if you want to hide the files again by repeating the same procedure.
