Run CHKDSK on Windows 10
To run CHKDSK on Windows 10, follow this procedure step by step.
Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type This PC in the search box and then click the This PC option as the following image is showing.
As soon as you click the This PC option, the following screen will appear.
Locate the disk which you want to check and right click on it. Then click the Properties option from the popup menu as highlighted in the above image. The Properties option will open the following dialogue box.
Click the Tools tab and then click the Check button under the Error checking section as highlighted in the above image. If there is an error, it will ask you to check the disk. But if there is no error, the following message will appear.
If you still want to scan the drive, click the Scan drive option as highlighted in the above image. Then after the completion of the scan, the following alert will appear.
