Method#1

First of all, check that your sound is not mute. Look at the speaker icon on your taskbar, if it has a cross sign on it as the following image is showing.

Click on the highlighted icon and a slider will appear. Click the Speaker icon to unmute the sound as the following image is showing.

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Control Panel in the search box and then click the Control Panel option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Control Panel option, the following screen will appear.

Click the Sound option as highlighted in the above image. Then the following dialogue box will appear.

Choose the Speaker and then click the Set Default button. After that, click the OK button as highlighted in the above image.

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Audio in the search box and then click the Audio settings option as the following image is showing.

As you click the Audio settings option, the following screen will appear.

Click the Change the device or app volume option as highlighted in the above image. After that, the following screen will appear.

Click the Troubleshoot button as highlighted in the above image. As you click the Troubleshoot button, the following dialogue box will appear.

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Services in the search box and then click the Services option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Services option, the following screen will appear.

Locate the Windows Audio option as highlighted in the above image. Right click on it and a menu will appear as the following image is showing.

Click the Restart option as highlighted in the above image. The sound issue could be resolved.

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Control Panel in the search box and then click the Control Panel option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Control Panel option, the following screen will appear.

Click the Sound option as highlighted in the above image. Then the following dialogue box will appear.

Right click on the Playback device and then click the Properties option as highlighted in the above image. The Properties will open up another dialogue box as follows.

Click the Enhancements tab and then check the Disable all enhancements checkbox. After that, click the Apply and then OK button as highlighted in the above image.

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Control Panel in the search box and then click the Control Panel option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Control Panel option, the following screen will appear.

Click the Sound option as highlighted in the above image. Then the following dialogue box will appear.

Right click on the Playback device and then click the Properties option as highlighted in the above image. The Properties will open up another dialogue box as follows.

Click the Advanced tab. Then change the audio format from the drop down. After that, click the Test button and click the OK button as highlighted in the above image.

Right click on the Search button and a menu will open. Click the Device Manager option from the menu as highlighted in the above image.

As you click the Device Manager option, the following dialogue box will appear.

Click the Sound, video, and game controller -> High Definition Audio Device option. Then click the Update driver option as highlighted in the above image. After that, the following dialogue box will appear.

Click the Search automatically for updated driver software option as highlighted in the above image.
