BitLocker is not an encryption function that can be enabled on all devices linked to your laptop simultaneously. There are two parts of it: you can encrypt your delicate information on PC’s primary hard drive using BitLocker Drive Encryption and you can use BitLocker to Go. To protect your BitLocker-Encrypted Files from Attackers, follow this procedure step by step:

Click the Search button. Type Control Panel in the search bar and select the option named Control Panel, as the following image is showing:

After opening the Control Panel, select the option named System and Security. As you will select the mentioned option, the following screen will appear:

Now select BitLocker Drive Encryption option as the above image is indicating. As you will select the option, the following screen will appear:

Now click the option named Turn on BitLocker for which drive you want this option as the above image is indicating. As you will select the Turn on BitLocker option, the following screen will appear:

Now you have to choose to unlock the device. Check the box named Use a password to unlock this device and enter a password, as the above image is indicating. After entering and confirmation of the password, click the Next button. The following screen will appear:

Select an option that is suitable and click the Next button. As you will click the Next button, the following screen will appear:

Choose how to encrypt drive

Now check the box named Encrypt used disk space only (faster and best for new PC’s and drives) and click the Next button, as the above image is indicating. After clicking the Next button, the following screen will appear:

Use BitLocker compatibility mode

Now check the box named Compatible mode (best for drives that can be moved from this device) and click the Next button as above image is indicating. After that following screen will appear:

Start Encrypting

Click the button named Start encrypting.

After this process, you are done to protect your BitLocker Encrypted files from attackers.
