Pause Windows 10 Updates

Click the Search button. Type Settings in the search box and then click the Settings option as the following screen will appear.

As soon as you click the Settings option, the following Windows Settings screen will appear.

Now select the Update & Security option as highlighted in the above image. As you choose the Update & Security option, the following screen will appear.

As you can see that the screen is divided into two parts. Choose the Windows Update option from the left side of the screen. Then click the Advanced options from the right side of the screen as highlighted in the above image. As you click the Advanced options, the following screen will appear.

Turn on the Pause Updates toggle button to pause the updates as highlighted in the above image.

Method#1

Click the Search button. Type Settings in the search box and then click the Settings option as the following screen will appear.

As soon as you click the Settings option, the following Windows Settings screen will appear.

Now select the Update & Security option as highlighted in the above image. As you choose the Update & Security option, the following screen will appear.

As you can see that the screen is divided into two parts. Choose the Windows Update option from the left side of the screen. Then click the Advanced options from the right side of the screen as highlighted in the above image. As you click the Advanced options, the following screen will appear.

Now use the options named Feature update and Quality update under Choose when updates are installed section as highlighted in the above image.

Method#2

Click the Search button. Type Run in the search box and then select the Run option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Run option, the following dialogue box will appear.

Write gpedit.msc in the Open textbox and then click the OK button as highlighted in the above image. As you click the OK button, the following screen will appear.

Navigate through the following path from the left pane of the screen.

Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Windows Update -> Windows Update for Business

As you click the Windows Update for Business option from the left side of the screen, there will be some option on the right side of the screen as highlighted in the above image. Double click the Select when Preview Builds and Feature Updates are received and the following dialogue box will appear.

Select the Enabled radio button. After that click the Apply and then OK button as highlighted in the above image.
