Airplane mode will prevent your computer system from using the features such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which drain your laptop’s battery whereas the battery saver will allow your laptop to work for a longer time with a slightly lesser performance.

If you have a backlit keyboard then you need to switch it off in order to prolong your battery life. The backlit feature can be turned off easily with the keyboard shortcut for switching the backlit keyboard on or off.
