The Quick Launch bar was launched in Windows XP and was standing in front of the Start button on the far left side of the Taskbar. To get the Quick Launch bar back in Windows 10, follow this procedure step by step:
Right-click on the Taskbar and navigate through Toolbars -> New toolbar as the following image is showing:
As soon as you will select the New toolbar, the following dialogue box will appear:
Now paste the following path in highlighted area:
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch
After entering the above-mentioned path, click the Select Folder button as highlighted in the above image. As soon as you will click the Select Folder button you will see the Quick Launch button on the taskbar like this:
Now if you want to move this Quick Launch bar anywhere on the taskbar, right-click on the taskbar and click Lock the taskbar like this:
Now taskbar is unlocked, so drag the Quick Launch and move where you want it to be like this:
Quick Launch bar is moved where you want it to be. Now you can apply different settings on its display like this:
- Show Text will show the text of programs on Quick Launch bar.
- Show title will show the name of Quick Launch.
- Close toolbar will close the Quick Launch bar.
After doing all the display settings, right-click the taskbar and choose Lock the taskbar like this:
