Method #1

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Settings in the search box and then choose the Settings option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Settings option, the following screen will appear.

Click the System option as highlighted in the above image. Then the following screen will display.

Select the Notification & actions option from the left side of the screen as highlighted in the above image. After that, the screen will look like this.

Scroll down the screen and go to the Get notifications from these senders section. Then choose any app for which you don’t want to play the sound. The next screen will look like this.

Here turn off the Play a sound when a notification arrives toggle button. If you want to do this for multiple applications, repeat the same procedure to turn off notification sound.

Method #2

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Control Panel in the search box and then click the Control Panel option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Control Panel option, the following screen will appear.

Type sound in the search box of the Control Panel and then click the Change system sounds option as highlighted in the above image. Then the following dialogue box will appear.

Click the Sounds tab. Then under Program Events, select the Notification option. Now choose the None option from the Sounds dropdown. After that, click the Apply and then OK button as highlighted in the above image.

Note: This method will disable the sound of notifications against all applications.
