Now click the Advanced system settings from the left side of the screen as highlighted in the above image. When you click the Advanced system settings option, the following dialogue box will appear.

Click the Advanced tab and then click the Settings button under the Performance section as highlighted in the above image. The Settings will open as the following dialogue box.

Click the Visual Effects tab and then uncheck the Enable Peek checkbox. After that, click the Apply and then OK button as highlighted in the above image. The feature is disabled.

Open the Notepad. Copy and paste the following entry in it as the following image is showing.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]

“ExtendedUIHoverTime”=dword: 000186a0

Now click the File -> Save as option as the following image is showing.

Now Save as dialogue box will open. Type the name of the file as Time.reg and click the Save button as the following image is showing.

Go to the saved file. Right click on it and click the Merge option as the following image is showing.

Now restart the computer to apply the change.
