Method # 1: Change Windows 10 password on the command line

In this method, we will tell you how you can change the Windows 10 password without knowing the current password by using the Command Prompt. For doing this, you will need to perform the following steps:

Type cmd in the search section of your taskbar and right click on the search results in order to launch a pop-up menu as shown in the following image:

net user username newpassword

in your Command Prompt window and then press the enter key. Here, username represents the username of your current account and newpassword represents the password that you want to set. In this example, my username is win10 and the new password is 1234. This command is highlighted in the following image:

As soon as you will press the enter key, Windows 10 will prompt you with a message saying, “Command completed successfully” which will mean that your new password has been set successfully.

Method # 2: Use Computer Management to change Windows 10 password

In this method, we will tell you how you can change the Windows 10 password without knowing the current password by using Computer Management. For doing this, you will need to perform the following steps:

Type computer management in the search section of your taskbar and click on the search results to launch the new computer management window. The newly opened Computer Management window is shown in the following image:

As soon as you will click on it, a dialogue box will appear on your screen. Now click on the Proceed button located on this dialogue box as highlighted in the image shown below:

Method # 3: Using control panel to change password
