Every email user has a large number of contacts in his contact list regardless of which email he uses but there are a very few people to whom he contacts frequently. Instead of searching manually for the frequently contacted people, you should look for a quicker way to do so. This will not only save your time but also your effort of looking for your desired contact. You can do this by pinning your frequently contacted people to your start menu so that you can contact them as soon as you want to. In this article, we will explain to you the method through which you can add quick contacts to the Start menu in Windows 10.
Adding Quick Contacts to the Start Menu in Windows 10
In order to add quick contacts to the Start menu in Windows 10, you will need to perform the following steps:
Click on the Windows icon located at the extreme left of your taskbar in order to launch the Start menu. The newly opened Start menu is shown in the following image:
Scroll down through the Start menu to locate the People app as highlighted in the image shown below:
Click on the People app in order to launch it. The newly opened People app window is shown in the following image:
Search for any contact that you want to add as a quick contact to your Start menu in the Search textbox by typing the name of that contact as shown in the image below:
Once you manage to find your desired contact, click on it to launch its details as shown in the following image:
Now click on the Pin icon as highlighted in the image shown above in order to launch a menu:
Click on the Pin to Start option from this menu.
Windows 10 will ask you for the confirmation of pinning this contact to the Start menu as shown in the image below:
Click on the Yes button in order to continue.
As soon as you will click on the Yes button, your desired contact will immediately be added to the Start menu as a tile as shown in the following image:
By following the method discussed in this article, you can pin as many quick contacts to your Start menu as you want. If at any instance, you feel like removing a contact from the Start menu, then you can do so simply by right-clicking on that contact tile and selecting the Unpin from Start option from the menu. In this way, that particular contact will no longer be visible as a quick contact in your Start menu.
