Windows 10 has a secret feature that allows you to right-click a file and either transfer it or copy it to a target location. This little hack from the registry allows you to quickly copy and transfer your files. But you have to be very careful while changing the Registry Editor. Add ‘Move to’ or ‘Copy to’ option to the context menu of Windows 10

To add ‘Move to’ or ‘Copy to’ to the context menu of Windows 10, follow this procedure step by step.

Procedure for Move to menu

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Run in the search box and then click the Run option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Run option, the following dialogue box will appear.

Type Regedit in the Open textbox and then click the OK button as highlighted in the above image. As you click the OK button, the Registry Editor screen will appear as follows.

Navigate through the following path from the left pane of the screen.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

The screen will look like this.

Right click on the ContextMenuHandlers option and the following menu will appear.

Choose New -> Key option as highlighted in the above image. Rename the newly created key as MoveTo as the following image is showing.

Double click on the Default value of MoveTo key and the following dialogue box will appear.

Type {C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13} into the Value data textbox and then click the OK button as highlighted in the above image.

You can close the Registry Editor. There is no need to restart the computer, the changes will be made immediately.

Procedure for Copy to menu

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Run in the search box and then click the Run option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Run option, the following dialogue box will appear.

Type Regedit in the Open textbox and then click the OK button as highlighted in the above image. As you click the OK button, the Registry Editor screen will appear as follows.

Navigate through the following path from the left pane of the screen.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFilesystemObjects\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers

The screen will look like this.

Right click on the ContextMenuHandlers option and the following menu will appear.

Choose New -> Key option as highlighted in the above image. Rename the newly created key as CopyTo as the following image is showing.

Double click on the Default value of CopyTo key and the following dialogue box will appear.

Type {C2FBB631-2971-11D1-A18C-00C04FD75D13} into the Value data textbox and then click the OK button as highlighted in the above image.

You can close the Registry Editor. There is no need to restart the computer, the changes will be made immediately.

The menus will be added to the context menu as follows.
