How to add a website to the Windows 10 Taskbar or Start Menu

Whether you are using Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, you can add a shortcut to your Windows 10 taskbar or Start menu for any website. In this article, we will guide you through the whole procedure to add a website to the Windows 10 taskbar or Start menu against three browsers e.g. Google Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.

Add a website to the Windows 10 taskbar or Start menu

To add a website to the Windows 10 taskbar or Start menu, follow this procedure step by step.

Google Chrome

Open the Google Chrome browser. Navigate to the website which you want to pin to the taskbar or Start menu as the following image is showing.

Then click the three dots icon on the right corner as highlighted in the above image. A menu will appear as the following image is showing.

Now navigate to the More tools -> Create shortcut option as highlighted in the above image. An alert will appear on the screen as the following image is showing.

Now you can change the name of the shortcut if you want. Then check the Open as windows checkbox, if you want to open the shortcut in a new window. After that, click the Create button as highlighted in the above image. A shortcut will be created on the desktop and it will look like this.

Now right click on it and the following menu will pop out.

Click the Pin to Start or Pin to taskbar options to pin this website to the Start menu or taskbar.

Firefox

Click the Start button on the taskbar. Type Firefox in the search box and then right click on it as the following image is showing.

When you will right click on the Firefox option, a menu will open. Click the Open file location option as highlighted in the above image. It will open the following screen in front of you.

Now right click on the Firefox option and choose the Create shortcut as the following image is showing.

A shortcut will be created on the desktop. Right click on the icon of the shortcut and click the Properties option as the following image is showing.

The Properties will open the following dialogue box.

Click the Shortcut tab. Then type the website which you want to pin to the taskbar or start menu in the Target textbox. After that, click the Apply and then OK button as highlighted in the above image. Then right click on the Shortcut icon and click the Pin to Start or Pin to taskbar as the following image is showing.

Microsoft Edge

Open Microsoft Edge. Navigate to the website which you want to pin to the taskbar as the following image is showing.

Now click the three dots icon from the right corner of the screen as highlighted in the above image. Then the following menu will appear.

Click the More tools -> Pin to taskbar option as highlighted in the above image. After that, the following alert will appear on the screen.

You can change the name of the shortcut and click the Pin button as highlighted in the above image. Now, this website will be pinned to the taskbar.
