Method #1

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Run in the search box and then click the Run option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Run option, the following dialogue box will appear.

Type services.msc in the Open textbox and then click the OK button as highlighted in the above image. The following screen will appear.

Discover the DNS Client, Function Discovery Resource Publication, SSDP Discovery and UPnP Device Host services. If these services are running, first of all, stop them by clicking the Stop button. After that, right click on each mentioned service and click the Properties option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Properties option, the following dialogue box will appear.

Now choose the Automatic option under Startup type drop down. Then click the Start button to start the service.

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Control Panel in the search box and then click the Control Panel option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Control Panel option, the following screen will appear.

Choose the Category option for View by. Then click the Uninstall a program option as highlighted in the above image. Then the following screen will appear.

Click the Turn Windows features on or off option from the left side of the screen as highlighted in the above image. As you click this option, the following dialogue box will appear.

Scroll down the options and locate the SMB 1.0/ CIFS File Sharing Support option. Check this checkbox and click the OK button as highlighted in the above image. After that, restart the computer to make the changes.

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Command Prompt in the search box and then right click on the Command Prompt option. After that, click the Run as administrator option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Run as administrator option, the following screen will appear.

Type the following command in the Command Prompt editor.

netsh advfirewall firewall set rule group="Network Discovery" new enable=Yes

The following screen will appear.

Method #4

Click the Search button on the taskbar. Type Settings in the search box and then click the Settings option as the following image is showing.

As soon as you click the Settings option, the Windows Settings will appear as the following image is showing.

Click the Network & Internet option from the Windows Settings screen as highlighted in the above image. Then the following screen will appear in front of you.

As you can see that the screen is divided into two parts. Choose the Status option from the left side of the screen. Then scroll down the option and click the Network reset option as highlighted in the above image. The next screen will look like this.

Click the Reset now button and follow further instruction. Now check the Network Discovery error.
