How to launch Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 in Private Browsing mode

If you are using Microsoft Edge on a remote Windows 10 device, and want to maintain your browsing data confidential by default, you can always start Microsoft Edge in Private mode. Launch Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 in Private Browsing mode

To launch Microsoft Edge on Windows 10 in Private Browsing mode, follow this procedure step by step.

Go to the Microsoft Edge icon. Right click on it and a menu will pop out as the following image is showing.

Click the Properties option as highlighted in the above image. The properties will open as a dialogue box as the following image is showing.

Now you have to make a change in the Target field as highlighted in the above image. Click inside the Target field. Place the cursor at the end of the path. Now press the Space key and type –inprivate. After that click the Apply and then OK button as highlighted in the above image.

Now if you will open the Microsoft Edge browser, it will open in a private mode as the following image is showing.

Note: Microsoft Edge will only be in private mode by that shortcut in which you have made the change.

Remove the Private Browsing mode

To remove the Private browsing mode from Microsoft Edge, delete the – inprivate from the Target field as the following image is showing.

After that click the Apply and then OK button as highlighted in the above image. Now the browser will not be in private mode anymore.
