When you share Wi-Fi in Windows 7 with Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), and you run the following command,

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

You may get the following error:

"The hosted network couldn’t be started" after "netsh wlan start hostednetwork"

Go to device manager, find network adapters, find virtual WiFi adapters, right-click and then enable it.

Start cmd with admin privileges and then try the following:

netsh wlan start hostednetwork
“The hosted network couldn’t be started” after “netsh wlan start hostednetwork”
