Replying a message in WhatsApp isn't difficult - just long press the message and choose the reply option from the list of options the app gives. See screenshot below (taken on WhatsApp for iOS):
But do you know this whole process has been made even simpler. Yes, WhatsApp has received an update that brings along a new, quick reply feature. In this tutorial, we will quickly discuss how you can access this new functionality.
But before we do that, it's worth mentioning that we've tested this feature on an iPhone 6s running iOS version 10.3.2.
How to use quick reply in WhatsApp?
Accessing/using this new feature is very easy - just place your thumb/finger on the message you wish to reply, and swipe it to right. A small box will pop-up at the bottom containing that message as well as a text area for you to type your reply.
Just type the reply and send it. That's it.
So basically, the new feature just replaces a couple of existing steps (select the message by long pressing it and then select the 'reply' option) by a right-swipe. Oh, and yes, you can still use the old way if you find it more convenient or are used to it.
The feature is currently only available on iOS at the moment, but Android should also get it sooner than later.
